For universities and law professionals

In addition to the objective set out in the Bylaws of the Association, the founding members of the Association are convinced that a thorough knowledge of the administration of justice under the rule of law, deeply rooted in European traditions, is an essential component of a general legal culture.

Although the transmission of this knowledge is currently present in legal education, we believe that with the active involvement of judges, a transfer of knowledge can be created that will enable the future generation of lawyers to better understand the functioning of the judiciary, the process of judicial decision-making and to get to know the judicial profession better. The long-term cooperation agreement with the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church  also serves this purpose.

Our association, through its members, is happy to be involved in other organisations’ professional events, whether on the role of the courts, the rule of law or any specific legal topic. We also organise conferences, workshops, panel discussions, where we reflect with the interested professional audience on the place of the judiciary in the system of separation of powers, the conditions and limits of judicial independence and the responsibility of the judge in ensuring fundamental human rights.
